Sentry,
Sentries are part of the 'combat branch' and make a large portion of the renegade members. They are swift on their paws, agile and skilled in combat. This rank focus more on the stealthier side of fighting, relying more on speed, stamina and wits. A sentry needs to have a calm head on their shoulders and keep focus on their surroundings. Their biggest advantage is being able to assess situations and form strategies and ploys.
They're on the front lines when it comes to war and combat, but are often paired up with other sentries or knights so no sentry should be going solo. A sentry actively patrols the territory and tracks information to report to their superiors. The sentry rank follows under the Envoy and Marquess/Marquis. Their superiors help guide them in their roles, assign patrols and help with training and lessons. Spars are a normal thing for a sentry, but unlike the knights; they spend a lot of time having lessons to plan out strategies. Each individual is different, therefore their combat varies. Aside from their normal tasks and mentoring any novices; a sentry may be assigned to watch duty on certain individuals, places or even other groups. It's not uncommon for a sentry to be assigned a role away from the pack or to accompany messages to their allies or other packs. They lack any authority among the renegades, but are capable of bossing around grunts and prisoners. |
